|
The Billings Polar Bears took Lancaster pitcher Boryenka Pospehov's best shot and still were able to claim a win at The Igloo. The final score had Billings getting past the Farmers, 6-4. Pospehov went 5 innings and allowed no runs, striking out 6. The Polar Bears improved to a lofty 27-11.
Billings took control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Ángel Torrez hit a 2-run single to make it 6-4, Polar Bears.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Billings manager Marvin Nelson.
