The Lancaster Farmers withstood an impressive performance by Lake Minnetonka second baseman Cory Blatchford to defeat the Love Boats, 7-6, at Heron Field. Blatchford belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The win was credited to Theo Von Heezik in relief. His record improves to 3-3. Bob Kelso took the loss. Vincent Hansen was credited with the save for Lancaster, his 1st of the season.

Marcantonio Talamante provided a timely hit. The Lancaster left fielder delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the eighth inning to put the Farmers on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Talamante, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."

Lancaster, with the win, is 10-20.
