Lancaster Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
The Lancaster Farmers electrified the crowd with a walk-off win.
The Lancaster Farmers picked up a win at Farmers Field, taking down the Crescent City Krewe, 1-0. Starting pitcher Roy Duyan was a big reason why. Theo Von Heezik got credit for the win, improving to 2-3. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Lancaster first baseman Dave Johns, facing Deron Lewis, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Farmers the 1-0 win.
Johns told a Lancaster Times reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
The win puts Lancaster at 9-18.
