Farmers Earn 5-4 Win Versus Krewe
The Lancaster Farmers defeated the Crescent City Krewe, 5-4, at Farmers Field. Lancaster right fielder Eric MacKichan had a superb performance. He went 2-3 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Lancaster reliever Vincent Hansen picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Carlos Rosado was saddled with the loss. The victory puts Lancaster at 8-18.

Lancaster won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With one out and Carlos Rosado on the mound for Crescent City, first baseman Dave Johns hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Farmers fans to their feet.

"I'm a big believer in luck," said Johns. "And the harder we work, the more we have of it."
