Fans watched the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats and the Irving Blue Sox fight to the finish.

The Love Boats grabbed a win, 5-4, at Blue Sox Ballpark, overcoming a fine effort from Irving pitcher Christopher Tracy. Tracy went 0 innings and allowed no runs. Jim Murray was the winning pitcher. Over 5.1 innings, he allowed 1 run on 5 hits, with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts. Don Williams locked down his 11th save.

The Love Boats got a lift from third baseman Jose Asuncion, who in the top of the eighth hit a run-scoring double. His 4th double of the season put the Love Boats on top, 5-1.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Lake Minnetonka manager Sake van Arem.
