Getting an impressive start from Shoichi Iwata, Akron beat Lancaster by the score of 4-2. Ward Brooks closed the game out for Akron, earning his 1st save. Lancaster falls to 5-13.
In the bottom of the first, Sherwin Tacod hit a 3-run home run. The 6th home run of the season for the Akron second baseman put the Blimps on top, 3-0.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Tacod said.
