The Billings Polar Bears had to overcome a big game from Toledo designated hitter Manuel Ortíz to leave Toledo Backyard Park with a victory. And they did, winning 7-4. Ortíz was 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. León Morán earned the win to go to 2-0. He allowed 4 runs on 8 hits, with 1 walk and 2 strikeouts in 5.1 innings of work. The Saboteurs, now 3-9, continue their slow start.

Billings used a well-timed hit by Vicente Gallegos to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Polar Bears ahead, 5-3. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Billings manager Marvin Nelson.
