The Billings Polar Bears got a stellar performance from pitcher Edgardo López, who handcuffed the Toledo offense en route to a win, 5-1, at Toledo Backyard Park. The Polar Bears, now 8-2, have had a terrific start to the season.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Ángel Torrez? The Billings left fielder had a bases-clearing double in the top of the first inning to put the Polar Bears on top, 3-0. For the game, Torrez had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

López told a Billings Daily News reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
