Starting pitcher Vaughn Swanson took care of business, helping the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats stifle the Lancaster Farmers, 9-2. Lake Minnetonka reliever Vaughn Swanson got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Sergio Castro was tagged with the loss. The loss drops the Lancaster record to a disappointing 4-6.

Bob Byrd, the 25-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Byrd contributed a grand slam home run in the top of the second inning to put Lake Minnetonka up, 7-0.

Swanson told a Lake Minnetonka News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
