The 9-3 Akron win over Ithaca was due largely to Ernie Lewis. The Blimps center fielder was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Fredrick Shive, the winner, improved to 1-1. He held the Fighting Imps to 1 run on 5 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 2. António del Pozo nailed down his 1st save.

The Blimps got a big hit from first baseman Rommel Fflunker. In the bottom of the fifth, Fflunker pounded a 3-run home run to right. His 2nd home run of the season put the Blimps ahead, 4-0.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Lewis.

With their winning streak at 4, the Blimps have raced to a strong start this season.
