Northern Lions BC Need Extra Innings to Top Browns, 6-3
|
Cleveland got a decent performance from pitcher Guillermo Guerrero, but it wasn't enough to beat the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC. Thunder Bay won the Factory of Sadness contest, 6-3. Guerrero threw 7.0 innings of 2-hit ball for the losing team. The Browns, at 40-54, have lost 5 in a row.
The outcome might have been different for Thunder Bay, had it not been for Frank Tatum, the 26-year old right fielder . Tatum stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 15th inning to put Thunder Bay up, 4-3. For the game, he was 2 for 7, including 1 double and 1 single.
"Our team showed some gumption," said Tatum. "I like it."
