Browns Lose to Pandas, 4-1
|
The Montana Pandas picked up a win at Panda Park, knocking off the Cleveland Browns, 4-1. On the mound for Montana was right-hander Stuart Chase, who played a pivotal role in the win. Chase got the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 4 hits and walked 1 over 6.1 innings. Chase allowed 1 run. Morton Steele got credit for the save for Montana. It was his 1st of the year.
Bharti Mona had a big hit for Montana in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Montana leading 2-1, Mona hit a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Pandas up, 4-1.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Montana manager Andrew Schupick.
With the victory, the Pandas upped their record to 31-26.
