Detroit used the clutch hitting of Marços Mansilha to capture the win. The catcher drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to give the Elite the lead, 4-3. For the game, Mansilha had 2 singles and 1 double in 4 at-bats.

"We squandered some opportunities," said New Orleans manager Chase Sims.
