The New Orleans Voodoo went home winners at The Voodoo Lounge, thanks in large part to starter Joy-shan Men. Men stifled the Oakland Oaks, enabling New Orleans to grab the 4-1 win. In 5.1 innings, Men surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. With the win, New Orleans upped its record to 20-19.

With two out in the bottom of the eighth, Anthony Roosemont had a game-changing hit. The Voodoo center fielder slammed a 2-run single off Broderick Langmead, making the score 4-1, New Orleans.
