The Lake Minnetonka Love Boats eked out a 2-1 win versus the Toledo Saboteurs at Heron Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Vaughn Swanson. He was terrific. Lake Minnetonka reliever Vaughn Swanson got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Andrew Johnson was tagged with the loss. The defeat makes Toledo 3-2.

With runs few and far between, the Love Boats had to seize their opportunities when they came. One of the most important chances for Lake Minnetonka came in the bottom of the third inning, when second baseman Alfredo López delivered a 2-run single. The single was hit off Andrew Johnson and made the score 2-0, Love Boats. López was 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI.

"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Swanson said.
