Patriots Lose to Rocketeers, 3-2
|
The Seattle Rocketeers beat the Boston Patriots, 3-2. Seattle pitcher and Drexel Heights, Arizona, native Virgil Dickerson led the way. Dickerson went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 3, and struck out 5. His record improves to 6-1. Alco Roelofs nailed down his 10th save.
It could have been a different outcome for Seattle, had it not been for Johan Kroening, the 2038 Gold Bat winner . Kroening contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the third inning to put Seattle up, 3-0.
"Slowly but surely, the wins are piling up," said Dickerson.
The second-place Rocketeers have won 4 in a row.
