The Buckhead Bowties got a sterling performance from pitcher Jong-yong Ha, but the Oakland Oaks still prevailed, 5-2. Ha threw 7.1 innings of shutout ball. Mitchell Isaacs notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. His record now sits at 1-0. Borisav Gojkovic nailed down his 1st save.
Oakland needed the clutch hitting of Héctor Heredice to notch the win. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Oaks on top, 5-2. For the game, Heredice had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"It was a solid team effort," said Heredice after the game.
The Bowties fall to 9-11 and continue their uneven start to the 2045 season.
