Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for White Walkers
|
Nashville Stadium was the site for Menard's Third League action featuring the Nashville Outlaws and Buffalo White Walkers.
Buffalo turned a good effort from starter Harvey Wyles into a win over the Nashville Outlaws at Nashville Stadium. The final score was 6-2. Harold Hunter earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. He upped his record to 1-1.
The outcome might have been different for Buffalo, had it not been for Pepe Savinon, the 24-year old left fielder . Savinon stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put Buffalo up, 3-2. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.
Wyles said his team "played with focus."
The White Walkers, with just their 5th win in 18 games, have played uninspired baseball so far.
