The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC and Buffalo White Walkers obliged fans hoping for an exciting game.

The inspired effort of Buffalo left fielder Pepe Savinon was not enough to prevent a loss, 9-8, to the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC. Savinon was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Josuke Okumura, now 2-0, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 2 and walking 0.

Robert Shannon had a clutch hit in the bottom of the eighth inning. With two men out and a runner on 2nd, the Thunder Bay first baseman hit a run-scoring single. That put the Northern Lions BC in the lead, 9-8.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Shannon.

The Northern Lions BC, now 12-3, have hit the ground running this season.
