Philip Todd made an impact in the 10-5 Echo Park win over Buffalo. Todd, who finished 2nd in the 3L in home runs with 27 in 2043, was 1-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Lance Barber picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-0. He struck out 5 in 5.2 innings. Santiago Rivera was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.

Todd contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Echo Park in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-2, Todd took a cutter from Harvey Wyles and stroked the home run to right-center. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Lakers to leap in front, 4-3.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Todd told the Echo Park Times.
