Pandas Deal Flamingos Painful Loss
|
The Montana Pandas got a magnificent performance from pitcher Román Mejía, who stifled the Las Vegas offense en route to a 2-1 Pandas win at Panda Park. The winner in relief was Ricky McCauley. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0. Montana has a mark of 4-6 after the win.
The Pandas relied on second baseman Jesse Winters for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 13th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring double to seal the deal.
"We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," Winters told the Montana Chronicle.
