White Walkers Come Up Short at Montana, 4-3
|
The Montana Pandas had to overcome a fine effort from Buffalo pitcher Hikaru Yamaguchi to grab a narrow 4-3 win at Panda Park. Yamaguchi went 6.1 innings and allowed 4 runs. Edmond McCord was credited with the save for Montana, his 1st of the season. The loss drops Buffalo to 1-6.
Henri de Beeld contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a double. It was one at-bat that helped Montana get the win.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Buffalo manager Chris Lau. "But we decided not to take it."
