Outlaws Deal Browns 6-4 Loss
|
Fans brought energy and enthusiasm to the Cleveland Browns home opener. Leonardo Sánchez started for the home team against Miguel Pérez for the Nashville Outlaws. The Browns were unable to reward the home crowd with a win. The final score was 6-4, Nashville. Sariyah Fateen, though, was impressive. Miguel Pérez got the win, improving to 1-0. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 3 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 0. Rafael Herrera earned the save, his 1st.
It could have been a different outcome for Nashville, had it not been for Duff Eckstein, the 27-year old second baseman . Eckstein contributed a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to put Nashville up, 5-0.
"We've got a great group of guys," Eckstein said, "and we're having fun right now."
