Almost There: Pittsburgh On Cusp of R1 Triumph After 5-2 Win

Pittsburgh third baseman Yeow-whye Zhu was the key at The Dungeon in Halifax today, being named player of the game as he powered the Kingfishers to victory in a critical Game of the Silver League Championship. The Kingfishers took the 5-2 win over the Nova Scotia Leviathan to seize a - lead in the best-of- series.
It could have been a different outcome for Pittsburgh, had it not been for Ruud van Ineveld, the 16-year veteran . van Ineveld contributed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put Pittsburgh up, 3-2.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Pittsburgh manager Tyler Johnson.
