Pivotal Game Goes to Host Kingfishers, 8-5
Pittsburgh first baseman Karl Blanke was the key at Pittsburgh Grounds today, being named player of the game as he powered the Kingfishers to victory in a critical Game of the Silver League Championship. The Kingfishers took the 8-5 win over the Las Vegas Flamingos to seize a - lead in the best-of- series.

Blanke had a consequential at-bat in the bottom of the second for the Kingfishers. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Pittsburgh trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run double.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Blanke.
