2B Ku, Kingfishers Destroy Elite 12-1 to Force Game
Pittsburgh second baseman Li-ren Ku rose to the occasion at Detroit Stadium today, earning player of the game honors after driving the Kingfishers to a crucial Game victory over the Detroit Elite. Ku went 4 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 as the Kingfishers took the 12-1 win to seize a - lead in the best-of- Silver League Championship.

Pittsburgh relied on the hitting of Rafael Abasto to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Kingfishers on top, 2-0. For the game, Abasto had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We lost," Detroit manager Dustin Hewitt said later. "We'll deal with it. The series isn't over."
