Kingfishers Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Dirty Reds
Fans who gathered at Pittsburgh Grounds saw a good contest between the Pittsburgh Kingfishers and San Mateo Dirty Reds.

The San Mateo Dirty Reds got a superb performance from second baseman Manuel Ramos, but the Pittsburgh Kingfishers still won the game, 4-3. Ramos was named the player of the game despite the loss. He went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. Pittsburgh is now 21-13, San Mateo 16-18.

Pittsburgh took a 4-3 lead on Junior Young's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off San Mateo pitcher Rainer Ausmus in the bottom of the ninth.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said San Mateo skipper Dean Ashley, "and it cost us."
