SL Rookie Trophy to San Mateo's First Baseman Friday, October 31st, 2042 It was a lot of headlines and highlights for San Mateo first baseman Dong-young Won in his first season in the United States Silver League. It was announced today that the 26-year-old was voted the top newcomer and had earned the Newcomer of the Year Award. Dong-young Won collected 103 hits, 24 home runs, 69 RBIs, 53 walks and 69 runs scored. He hit .259 and had a .350 on-base percentage. Samual Johnson of the Colorado Billy Goats finished second in voting, while Júlio Coronado of the Mississippi Mockingbirds finished third. |
