United States Silver League Names Top Player Friday, October 31st, 2042 At the age of 25, Kolby Hay of the Ft. Worth Cattlemen could very well have his best years ahead of him. It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2042 was good enough to win the right fielder the United States Silver League Outstanding Hitter Award. "See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach." The top hitter put up a .322 batting average this year, as well as a .402 on-base percentage. He played 106 games and racked up 133 hits, 32 doubles, 7 triples, 24 home runs, 72 RBIs and 85 runs scored. Jonas van Claveren of the Long Island Lighthouse finished second in voting, while David de Meij of the Colorado Billy Goats finished third. |
