Colorado's Sangrey to Miss Season
Wednesday, September 17th, 2042
Colorado reliever Thomas Sangrey could miss the remainder of the season because of a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. He exited yesterday's D.C. game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Sangrey would be out 16 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."

Sangrey has taken the mound for 14 relief appearances this season, nailing down 1 save while notching a 2-0 record with a 1.91 ERA. The Colorado reliever has limited opposing batters to a .188 batting average.
