Billy Goats Snatch 2-1 Win

The Colorado Billy Goats defeated the San Mateo Dirty Reds, 2-1, at Grazing Hills today. Leading the charge for Colorado was left fielder Samual Johnson. He went 2-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Mamadou Boutin, credited with the win, is now 7-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. Magnus Belli earned the save, his 18th, for the Billy Goats.
Johnson turned the game around in the bottom of the seventh. That's when the Colorado left fielder dialed up a 2-run home run. Just like that, Colorado's 1-0 deficit turned into a 2-1 lead.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Colorado manager Mack Kilkeary.
Today's win puts Colorado at 35-28, while San Mateo falls to 36-27.
