The Kingston Township Knights moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the visiting Brooklyn Dodgers at Cloverdale Legion Park by a score of 3-1. Knights right-hander Currito Fonseca was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 8 innings of 6-hit ball. The win gives the Knights a - advantage in the best-of- Silver League Championship.

The Dodgers had trouble solving Fonseca, who surrendered 1 earned run on 6 hits over 8 innings.

"It's true for every sport, I think, but the playoffs are so short that you've just got to get in and get hot," Kingston Township manager Rayzor Ray told BNN after the win. "We took care of the first part and now we're just working on the second."
