Host Grey Wolves Drop Pivotal Game , Now Trail Series -

Despite a great performance by Vancouver starter Ángel Rosas, the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC defeated the Grey Wolves by the score of 4-3 at Wolf Den in Vancouver today. Rosas threw 6 innings of shutout ball to earn player of the game honors, but could not prevent the Northern Lions BC from moving one game closer to the Round 2. Thunder Bay now leads the Silver League Championship - .
Thunder Bay used the timely hitting of Takeshi Kovacs to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Northern Lions BC on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It feels a lot better to be tied than to be behind, even if it is only one game," Thunder Bay manager Scott Williams said.
