Dirty Reds Stay Hot With 5-4 Win
|
Starting pitcher Travis Morgan pitched well enough to help the San Mateo Dirty Reds beat the Buckhead Bowties by the score of 5-4. The Dirty Reds, now 32-20, have won 8 in a row.
Dong-young Won drew 1 walk for San Mateo. The 26-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring walk off Anthony Hurst. It was his 21st walk of the season.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said San Mateo manager Dean Ashley.
