San Mateo played host to Detroit at the friendly confines of Lang Park.

San Mateo Dirty Reds starter Travis Morgan was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Detroit Elite, 3-0. The winning pitcher was Morgan, now 8-1. He tossed 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 2.

Tied up with the Elite in the bottom of the fifth inning, the Dirty Reds got a boost from designated hitter Palaie Gaoteote. With the bases empty, Gaoteote saw a full count changeup from Gilberto Medina and hit a solo home run to break the stalemate and put San Mateo on top, 1-0.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Gaoteote.

The Dirty Reds, at 24-15, have now won 4 straight.
