Sanu Slugs Dirty Reds to 5-0 Win
The San Mateo Dirty Reds trumped the Detroit Elite, 5-0, at Lang Park. San Mateo third baseman Shiki Sanu was named player of the game for his performance. He was 3-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Ratko Davidovic, the winner, improved to 2-3. He held the Elite to no earned runs on 4 hits over 7.1 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 2. The Dirty Reds now have a record of 23-15 with the win over Detroit.

With San Mateo leading 2-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Sanu hit a 2-run home run off Detroit hurler Lewis Carter. It was the 10th home run of the season for Sanu and put his team ahead, 4-0.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said San Mateo manager Dean Ashley.
