Super Swinger -- Liu Slams 5 Hits
It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-6 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Gah-fat Liu, it came around today.

The 20-year-old left fielder scattered hits all over Washington Stadium to pace the Detroit Elite to a 15-11 victory over the D.C. Divided.

D.C. skipper Jonathan Gerth told reporters in the press room that "Liu deserves a hat-tip."

"He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Liu hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit."

Gah-fat Liu singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off José Pacheco in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th and doubled in the 9th.

Currently Liu has 6 home runs and a .310 batting average.
