Knights Lose to Bowties, 4-2
|
Buckhead Bowties starter Milutin Panic turned in an exceptional performance against the Kingston Township Knights at Cloverdale Legion Park, resulting in a Buckhead win, 4-2. Panic got the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed 4 hits and walked 2 over 5.2 innings. Panic allowed 2 earned runs. Roderick Miller, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 4th save.
Jared Schneider had a big run-scoring single for the Bowties in the top of the sixth inning. With Buckhead leading 3-2 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Chase Sims and stroked the single to right. It was his 25th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Bowties ahead, 4-2.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Schneider told the Buckhead Citizen.
The Knights fall to 8-11 and continue their lackluster start in 2042.
