San Mateo Dirty Reds starter Sylvain Richard was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Kingston Township Knights, 5-1. The Knights fall to 8-9 and continue their wobbly start to the 2042 season.
Palaie Gaoteote made an early impact for San Mateo when he stroked his 12th hit of the season. The 2-run single, which came with two out in the bottom of the first, put the Dirty Reds on top, 3-0.
Richard attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
