Loss to Bowties Extends Thunder Bay Losing Streak
|
The Buckhead Bowties relied on the hitting of left fielder Marcus Shill to stop the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 6-3. For the game, Shill was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Milutin Panic picked up the win with 6.1 innings of work. He allowed 3 earned runs on 6 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 7. On the season, he is now 2-0. Getting the save was Roderick Miller, his 3rd.
Shill had an important at-bat with runners on 1st and 3rd in the bottom of the fifth, when he hit a 2-run double. The Bowties went on to win.
"We've hit a rough patch right now," said Thunder Bay skipper Scott Williams.
The Bowties raised their record to 11-6.
