Buckhead left fielder Marcus Shill played a vital role in his team's 6-2 triumph over Thunder Bay. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times for Buckhead. Buckhead reliever Pascal Martin picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Jorge Souza took the loss. The Bowties keep rolling, raising their record to 10-6.
The Bowties had to work out of trouble in the top of the sixth. The score was 4-1, Buckhead, with no one out. Thunder Bay, with runners on 1st and 3rd, was mounting a threat. Yao-pang Chiang dug in at the plate, but on a 1-0 fastball, he flied out.
