The Mississippi Mockingbirds relied on the hitting of designated hitter Seb Blanch to stop the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 6-4. For the game, Blanch went 3-5 with 2 doubles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Mississippi reliever Dan Stokes picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Peace Addo took the loss. The Mockingbirds have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 3rd win in 12 games.

Blanch had a game-changing double in the top of the ninth. On a 1-1 changeup from Peace Addo, he banged a 2-run double to right, giving the Mockingbirds a 6-4 lead. It was the 4th double of the year for Blanch.
