Billy Goats Come Back Late, Nip Lighthouse
|
The Colorado Billy Goats picked up a win at The Lighthouse, knocking off the Long Island Lighthouse, 2-1. On the mound for Colorado was right-hander Octavius Pringle, who played a pivotal role in the win. The win gives Colorado a record of 6-5.
Colorado used the timely hitting of Ricardo Yates to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Billy Goats on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Pringle told the Colorado Daily.
