The Mississippi Mockingbirds and Detroit Elite were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd at Magnolia Park.

Getting a good performance from third baseman Manuel Ramos, the Detroit Elite defeated the Mississippi Mockingbirds, 9-4. Ramos went 3 for 6 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Elite. Gilberto Medina was the winner. Over 6.1 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, with 3 walks and 6 strikeouts.

In the first inning, Ramos had a 2-run double for Detroit. It was his 3rd double of the season and put the Elite on top, 2-0.

"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Ramos.
