Elite Best Cattlemen in Pitching Duel

Detroit and Ft. Worth duked it out at The Cattle Pen and the Elite came out victorious.
The Detroit Elite scored a 2-1 win versus the Ft. Worth Cattlemen at The Cattle Pen. Detroit right fielder Murray Sperber nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Detroit reliever Jeffery Prosser picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Kabeya Kasongo shouldered the loss. Héctor Cantú was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 6 of 6 save opportunities.
It could have been a different outcome for Detroit, had it not been for Jack McCusker, the former first round draft pick . McCusker contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the fifth inning to put Detroit up, 2-0.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Sperber.
The 9th-place Elite now have a win-loss record of 42-66.
