Hay hits 22nd home run to Power Cattlemen Offense
|
Ft. Worth right fielder Kolby Hay played a vital role in his team's 6-3 triumph over San Mateo. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for Ft. Worth. Blair Wright got the save, his 14th in 15 chances. The Cattlemen bumped their record to 59-45 with this latest triumph.
Hay contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Ft. Worth in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 2-0, Hay took a forkball from Sylvain Richard and stroked the home run to left. His 22nd home run of the season allowed the Cattlemen to leap in front, 4-2.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Hay told reporters after the game.
