Dirty Reds Need Extra Frames to Get Past Cattlemen
Ft. Worth designated hitter Jorge Alejándrez was sensational. He slugged 2 home runs, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. San Mateo beat the Cattlemen, 6-4. Alejándrez was named the player of the game despite the loss. At 56-47, the Dirty Reds find themselves in 4th place in the Silver League.

The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Javier Sierra came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Ft. Worth pitcher Blair Wright, he hit a 1-1 slider for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting San Mateo on top, 6-4.

"Our team showed some resilience," said Sierra.
