Kingston Township beat Ft. Worth at The Cattle Pen, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Francisco Díaz, who earned player of the game honors. David Blake got credit for the save for Kingston Township. It was his 20th of the year. Kingston Township, at 45-53, occupies 8th place in the Silver League.
Had Eustacio Tafalla not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Tafalla hit a 2-run double. That made the score 5-3, in favor of the Knights.
"There's still time to turn this season around," said Tafalla.
