Getting a good performance from shortstop Bren Spillane, the Ft. Worth Cattlemen defeated the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 15-4. Spillane went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the Cattlemen. Shigochiyo Tanaka was the winning pitcher. Kyllo told the Ft. Worth Gazette: "Win or lose, I don't want to see our team outhustled."

The second-place Cattlemen improved to 54-41.
