Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for van Claveren Sunday, September 15th, 2041 Jonas van Claveren ran his hitting streak to 20 straight games today at The Lighthouse, when he collected 2 hits in 5 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Long Island Lighthouse dropped the game, 10-5, to the Vancouver Grey Wolves. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," van Claveren said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Jonas van Claveren singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. In his season totals van Claveren has 16 home runs and a .380 batting average. |
